Sapphire is extremely hard wearing, not completely resistant to scratching or damage but a personal favourite, for its saturated colour, and suitable for everyday wear. This supersized stone has been heat treated to bring out the depth of its colour, which often has flashes of mystical blue, lilac and the tiniest hint of pink.
